Pictures of My Work

Christmas angles made from the pattern on Georgia Seitz's web pages.
The pattern is for the IOLI " Wings of Angles" 2007.
I made some wings for the IOLI and then got hooked and made angles as Christmas gifts.

I made this from my wreath pattern which is here.  I used size 20 Manuela with silver glass beads and it works out to about 3 inch across.  I put one on each side of the ball and laced them together.  This is on a flattened red glass ball and it will be given to Mom at Christmas.

Wedding card to go with Check and Hanky......   Wedding Hanky for my God-daughter, Robyn.
White on white.  No book pattern, just a simple mignonette edge.

Pillowcase - Blue/White

I have just finished these pillowcases using a Finca thread, which is shaded blue to white and using a pattern from an old Star book.....

Easter Egg # 1

I made this picture egg for a friend at work who brings me fresh yard eggs each week.  It is on a foam glitter egg from a craft store.  The tatting is glued on.  The rabbit is a 1999 pattern from Lisa C. Trumble, site that I printed off a few years ago.  I cannot remember where I got the little bird pattern.  The grass is a chain using different lengths of picots.  I used 5 different gauges to make them.

This is the Easter egg that I made for my Mom for Easter.....
I used size 80 thread and the pattern is from Helma Siepmann's site

Handkerchief Edging

Hens and chick pattern which I tatted in Star 80 and sewed on as I worked

Handkerchief Edging - work in progress

A Body Pillow

This is my first hanky,  doing it for Mother as to put in her Mother's day card.  The pattern is #11 from Kirstine and Inge Lise Nikolajesen's edging book.  Shuttle is old hard rubber. The thread holder pins to my blouse so the ball does not get away.  Sterling and purchased from Lacis.

A simple edge from a book on tatted edges.  This is an Uncut pillow tube that I use on my body pillow.  I like it better than the ones they sell in the linen shops.

Pillowcase - pansies

Fillet tatted lighthouse

Mother does the needlework and I do the tatting.  Pattern from??????  I see a pattern I like start tatting and then do not remember what book it was in.  With almost 100 books and workbaskets it is hard to keep up!

This is a Filet crochet pattern that I did in tatting using Mary Konior's technique.  Done in size 30 nylon thread. 12/ 2004

Pretty Pink Handkerchief

Tatted and Embroidered Pillowcases

Hens and Chicks handkerchief given as a present.

I got these partially finished, completed the needlework and then tatted a  very simple edging.  The pattern was found on a strip inside some old DMC thread.  No text - just a picture.  Done in DMC in two shades of purple I tatted it while on a driving vacation in about 1999.

Old Uncut Tube Pillowcase

Close up of the edge

Mom did the needlework and I tatted a butterfly edging. Done about 1994 or 1995.  I use if for my "body pillow"  I crocheted it to the edge of the fabric.  This is my own pattern, I have not written it up... it is just a simple four ring butterfly with a chain to connect to make an edge. I am sure there are others very similar.  Feel free for copy and use your imagination.....

Close up of the edge so you can get a better idea of the stitch count......
